The journey also takes you to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its breathtaking scenery and one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Descending into the crater floor provides excellent chances to spot black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, buffaloes, and large prides of lions in their natural habitat. Accompanied by a professional safari guide and traveling in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle, this safari combines adventure, wildlife, and spectacular scenery into an unforgettable African experience.
Introduction
After breakfast, you will depart from Arusha and travel toward the world-famous
Serengeti National Park. The journey passes through the scenic highland farmland
of Karatu and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the
highlands behind, you descend into the vast Serengeti plains, one of Africa’s most
iconic wildlife destinations. You will continue to the central Serengeti,
particularly the Seronera area, known for its rich wildlife and the Seronera River,
an important water source that attracts many animals. After arriving in time for
lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive where you may see lions, zebras,
wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly leopards. Dinner and overnight at
your lodge
You will start the day with an early morning game drive in Serengeti National
Park, the best time to witness predators such as lions and cheetahs as they are
most active during the cooler hours. The central Serengeti is where the open plains
meet woodland and savanna landscapes, creating an ideal habitat for a wide
variety of wildlife. During the drive, you may see giraffes, impalas, topis, zebras,
and many other animals roaming freely across the savanna. After enjoying the
wildlife and beautiful scenery, you will continue your journey toward the
Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight at your lodge on the crater
rim.
After an early breakfast, you will take your packed lunch and descend into the
spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater is one of
Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders and is famous for having one of the
highest concentrations of wildlife in a relatively small area. During your game
viewing experience, you may encounter black rhinos, hippos, lions, hyenas,
jackals, zebras, and large herds of wildebeests grazing on the crater floor. The
diverse habitats, including grasslands, swamps, and forests, support a rich variety
of animals and birdlife. In the late afternoon, you will ascend the crater and begin
your journey back to Arusha.
