The journey blends local culture, ancient heritage sites, and rich wildlife encounters in some of Tanzania’s most scenic landscapes.

Introduction

Upon arrival in Arusha, you will drive to Bereko Village with a local lunch stop in Babati Town. Continue through the scenic countryside to Bereko for a relaxing nature forest walk in the beautiful Miombo woodland. The trail is mostly shaded by dense forest, offering cool weather and a peaceful atmosphere. During the walk, enjoy bird watching and the chance to spot blue monkeys and shy duiker antelopes. Guests will also experience local cuisine such as pilau rice, rice with beans, and “Machalari,” a traditional banana and meat dish. Fruit trees including oranges and bananas can also be seen around the village. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast, drive along a smooth scenic road to the famous Kolo Rock Paintings, one of Tanzania’s most important cultural heritage sites. These ancient paintings date from over 2,000 to 40,000 years ago and reflect the lives and traditions of the Sandawe people, also known as the Bushmen, who lived as hunters and gatherers. Enjoy a local picnic lunch before continuing to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its stunning landscapes and giant baobab trees. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

After breakfast, enjoy a full game drive in Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s best wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts many animals during the dry season. The diverse landscape provides excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, antelopes, and many bird species. The beauty of the park, combined with its rich wildlife, makes Tarangire a favorite for nature lovers and photographers. Later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay

Early in the morning, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders. This breathtaking volcanic caldera is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and many antelope species. The crater’s unique ecosystem, green plains, forests, and soda lake create a spectacular setting for wildlife viewing. After an unforgettable game drive and picnic lunch, return to Arusha in the late afternoon.
