6 Days Arusha – Bereko – Tarangire – Serengeti – Ngorongoro Safari
This 6-day safari explores Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations including Bereko Village, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater. The journey combines cultural village experiences, classic game drives, and breathtaking landscapes from baobab forests to endless Serengeti plains and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater floor.
Introduction
Upon arrival in Arusha, you will drive south to Bereko Village with a lunch stop in Babati Town. Continue through the scenic countryside to your tented camp surrounded by peaceful nature. After check-in, enjoy a guided nature walk through the beautiful Miombo woodland forest. The walk takes about two to three hours and offers cool shade, fresh air, and opportunities to spot forest birds, blue monkeys, and small antelopes. Guests will also enjoy authentic local cuisine including pilau rice, rice with beans, and “Machalari,” a traditional banana and meat dish prepared in the local style. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s finest wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and breathtaking landscapes. During the game drive, you may spot lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, and many antelope species. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the year, especially during the dry season, making the park rich in animal activity. The giant baobab trees, some believed to be thousands of years old, add to the park’s unique beauty. Later, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, known as one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. Endless golden plains, rocky kopjes, and abundant wildlife make Serengeti truly unforgettable. The park is home to the Great Migration, often described as the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth. During your game drive, you may see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, black rhinos, and countless antelope species roaming freely across the plains. Enjoy the stunning sunset over the savannah before dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Enjoy a full day exploring the endless plains of Serengeti National Park with packed lunch for a true safari adventure. This day offers excellent opportunities to follow the Great Migration and search for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The Serengeti landscape is decorated with ancient rocky outcrops known as kopjes, formed millions of years ago during the early formation of the earth. These rocks provide shelter for wildlife and beautiful scenery for photography. The park’s untouched wilderness and incredible concentration of animals create one of the most remarkable safari experiences in Africa. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.
After an early breakfast, drive to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is often called a natural wildlife paradise due to its high concentration of animals within the crater walls. The crater floor is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and many antelope species, all living close to permanent water sources and rich grazing land. The breathtaking scenery of the unbroken volcanic caldera makes Ngorongoro one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Africa. Later, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed drive back to Arusha through the beautiful highland landscapes and local villages of northern Tanzania. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have time for shopping or a short city tour before transfer to the airport or hotel for your onward journey.
