5 Days Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Safari
A thrilling 5-day safari experience through Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations, combining diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife, and unforgettable game drives across Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, before concluding with a cross-border transfer to Nairobi.
Introduction
After breakfast, depart with your professional safari guide for Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, giant baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while observing wildlife along the Tarangire River, which attracts many animals especially during the dry season. In the late afternoon, exit the park and be back to your accommodation which is Ngorongoro corridor lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart from the Ngorongoro area and drive toward Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route. The journey through the scenic highlands offers beautiful landscapes and occasional wildlife sightings. Upon entering Serengeti, continue with an afternoon game drive across the endless plains, home to lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of herbivores. Depending on seasonal movements, you may witness part of the Great Migration. Arrive in the evening at Tukaone camp for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Early morning and afternoon safaris provide excellent opportunities to observe predators when they are most active. Your experienced guide will track wildlife and explain animal behavior and the Serengeti ecosystem. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park to maximize your game viewing time. In the late afternoon, return to Tukaone Camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive while exiting Serengeti. Continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and ascend to the crater rim area. This region offers breathtaking panoramic views of the crater floor and a cooler highland climate. Staying near the rim allows early access for the crater tour the following day. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Corridor lodge (crater rim area).
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a halfday game drive. The crater supports a high concentration of wildlife including black rhino, lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending in the afternoon. Thereafter, begin your journey back to Nairobi for drop-off at your lodge in the evening, marking the end of your safari.
