A once-in-a-lifetime 10-day adventure combining the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with an unforgettable safari experience across Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations, including Mount Kilimanjaro, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater. This journey takes you from lush rainforest trails and alpine summit views at Uhuru Peak to the endless savannahs of the Serengeti and the wildlife-rich floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and wildlife exploration.
Introduction
Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Moshi, a charming town at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a scenic drive, check in at your hotel, and relax as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, you begin your Kilimanjaro trek from Marangu Gate through lush rainforest. Enjoy rich vegetation, possible primate sightings, and a steady hike to Mandara Hut. Later, visit Maundi Crater for panoramic views.
The trek continues into the heath and moorland zone with stunning views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. After a long hike, arrive at Horombo Hut and enjoy breathtaking scenery over the Masai steppe.
Today’s journey crosses the alpine desert and the famous “saddle” between Kibo and Mawenzi. The terrain becomes more rugged as you ascend toward Kibo Hut, where you rest early in preparation for summit night.
Begin your midnight summit ascent to Uhuru Peak via Gillman’s Point. Witness sunrise from the crater rim and achieve the highest point in Africa before descending back to Kibo and then Horombo Hut.
Descend through moorland and rainforest back to Marangu Gate, where your trekking journey ends. Receive certificates and transfer back to Arusha for rest and celebration.
Transfer for your flight into the Serengeti and begin an exciting afternoon game drive. Experience vast plains filled with wildlife before heading to your luxury lodge for dinner and overnight.
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Spot the Big Five, witness predator action, and enjoy picnic lunch in the heart of the savannah.
